Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
In September 2024, the mountains of Western North Carolina and other areas in the American southeast were devastated by Hurricane Helene. The town of Canton sustained massive damage and flooding just as we were getting back on our feet after flooding from Tropical Storm Fred in 2021. We have been heartened and inspired by the inpouring of assistance, prayers, and encouragement from people around the world.

Our church building, which sustained no damage, is a designated host site for groups working on repairs through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. If you would like to volunteer in our area, you can register your group through our presbytery's resource page. If you would like to contribute to our church's storm recovery fund, you can do so here, and choose "flood relief" from the drop-down menu.

We are grateful to be a connectional church, working with other congregations, faith communities, agencies, and individuals as we rebuild and plan for a better future. Thank you, and God bless you as you are a blessing.
